Tokyo

Starting off this morning we didn't have to be up until 10. Breakfast was really good. We were supposed to take a train to Tokyo but the train station was closed because (1) there were tremors from the earthquake and (2) they thought the main power source was damaged. We then went to the airport with the chinese team . At the airport we caught a bus to Tokyo. It was about 1hr and 30 min it wasn't bad. After we got to Tokyo we went to our hotel. After checking in we went site seeing. It was so cool! There were so many things to see. We went to this market and it was so cool we bought dinner there and it was delicious I had a ham and cheese sandwich with the cheese melted. After a short dinner we continued shopping. I bought some presents. There was so much to see it was the fashion area of Japan. I loved it. After that we went back to the hotel and tried to go swimming, we couldn't. Now we are getting ready to go to bed and are very sad that tomorrow is the last day here :(.

Today we woke up and had breakfast. After breakfast we went out and skied with the chinese team. It was really cool even though there was a language barrier. Today was the last day that we got to ski in Japan :(. During the morning we went up the Gondola and we also did a skier cross course which was really fun. We met up with some Japanese friends that we met and walked around with last night. The little boy was sooo funny. After this morning we had lunch and packed up. While we were packing the very nice Goldwin family gave us all jackets. They are really cool. I really thank them.

At one we started loading a van. The chinese team is coming with us. We said our goodbyes and started the four hour drive down to the airport. At the airport we dropped off our bags and continued on toward the hotel. After we checked in we dropped our stuff off in our rooms and went to dinner. We had dinner at a steak house. It was very good. After we got back we all went to our rooms. Today was a very fun day! I can't wait to sight see Tokyo tomorrow.

Scary Day

Starting this morning at around 4 in the morning we got an aftershock of an earthquake close to us. After that Delaney and I did not want to go back to bed. So we went down stairs and got on the internet. After a late breakfast and hearing that our race had been cancelled :( we started doing schoolwork. Later this afternoon we met some Japanese friends, and we exchanged gifts. Today was a scary and fun day.

Continuing... today we got to train and it was really soft but it was my first time ever doing combi! It was really fun! After lunch we had to change rooms and now we are tuning skis. While we were tuning skis is when we were in the earthquake. We met new Japanese friends who let us use their iron's. We also met them earlier today on the hill. Yay!!!

Arriving

After a long plane ride, in which Delaney got to sit next to me, we took a 4 hour car drive to Naeba. When we got here, we got our rooms, put our skis into our lockers, and went to bed. The room is small but its cool. We woke up the next morning, ate breakfast and got on the lift around 9. We free skied all morning and then went to lunch. Free skiing was really good it was thigh deep. After lunch we took a couple more runs and then we took a long walk for recovery. When we got back we got our Goldwin jackets and they are really cool!!!!

Denver-Seattle

This morning I got to the airport late because I was running late and then we had a couple minor issues checking in but we finally made it through security. I was stressed going through security, Delaney thought that it was unnecesary haha lol. After our flight to Seattle and now we have a 2hr lay over. Yay Japan!!!
